Kickstart is not about changing you, but about you changing yourself
Who We Are
Kickstart Community Programmes Ltd is a voluntary organisation with charitable status, governed by a board of trustees and we are based in Sheffield’s City Centre.
We are an adult service provision, serving client from the age of 18 with no upper age restrictions.
Kickstart has evolved from what was originally a drop in centre for chaotic users. We have supported and worked with over eight thousand people to date locally in and around Sheffield and up and down the country. Over that time, we have raised over 1.4 million pounds to fund the project until becoming statutorily funded through Sheffield pooled budget monies in April 2002.
The kickstart rehabilitation programme is based on the premise that addiction is not the problem but a poor solution to the problem, resulting in diminished self esteem and subsequent withdrawal from the community.
We focus our responses to the problem in the social arena, working with the clients whilst they remain within their own communities.
Kickstart offers a rehabilitation programme that helps people overcome the effects of substance misuse.
It was established in 1995 in response to meeting needs expressed by drug users and their families; therefore Kickstart was developed out of a perceived need expressed by the community.
Kickstart offers training at all levels of Business, Communication, and Development.
