CHARITY DINNER & ART AUCTION RASIES £3095 IN 2007

Kickstart Community Programmes Ltd hosted a charity dinner and art auction organised by HudsonMackay Artists’ Collective at the exclusive Walnut Club in Hathersage on Monday 16 July 2007 and raised over £3000 on the night. 

Guests of honour was 2007-08 The Right Worshipful the Lord Mayor of Sheffield Councillor Arthur Dunworth and The Lady Mayoress Councillor Mrs Kathleen Chadwick who joined over 60 guests to bid for original oil paintings, photography and illustrations from both emerging and established British artists. 

The evening included live music by The Lounge Lizards, art auction hosted by comedian, magician and auctioneer John Archer, a raffle and a delicious three-course meal prepared by The Walnut Club’s head chef, Nick Wilson, who worked for seven years alongside TV celebrity chef Jean Christophe Novelli.

Christine Tooze, Chief Executive of Kickstart Community Programmes Ltd commented, "We are thrilled with the support given on the night.  The money raised will help us develop our Art Therapy workshops and the other projects we carry out."
