Kickstart is what I needed when I got clean because the structured day programme filled the void that drugs had in my using.

BIG SLEEP OUT

In 2007 and 2008, Kickstart Community Programmes Ltd and The Cathedral Archer Project joined forces to organise a fundraising event called the Big Sleep Out.
Individuals and Companies were invited by Bishop Jack Nicholls in 2007 and the Master Cutler, Gordon Bridge in 2008 to take part and raise a minimum of £100 each to reserve their space in the forecourt of Sheffield Cathedral. From 7pm to 7am each person spent a September night in someone else's shoes – luckily for them, each year it managed to stay pretty dry, despite the torrential rain the night before and after!
Over 75 people have taken part in the last 2 years and both charities are extremely grateful for the support shown as many exceeded their sponsorship minimum and in total raised just short of £15,000, helping the two charities provide more for the vulnerable people in our City.
