KICKSTART RUNNERS RAISE OVER £2000 IN THE GREAT YORKSHIRE RUN

Runners for Kickstart raised over £2000 from taking part in the 2008 Great Yorkshire Run in September.

The team was made up of clients, staff and trustees and friends of Kickstart who joined together to generate some support and publicity for the charity as well as making a worthwhile donation to the local organisation.

Bob Brown, advisor to the charity said, “This is just the start.  In 2009 we hope to have over 50 people taking part and raising money for Kickstart.  We will be launching the event in March and getting people to sign up there and then.  Kickstart does some great work but they need our help and this is great way to get fit, take part in a local event for a worthwhile local charity”.

Lucinda White, Fundraiser & Event Manager for Kickstart said, “we are so pleased with the amount the team managed to raise through sponsorship.  It was great to see them all in their kickstart t-shirts flying the flag for the charity and supporting us by taking part in such a positive Sheffield event.”
